Meet The Team
Roger Graver - Co-owner (joined 1989). Roger rides to work every day on his Moots Vamoots but once the sun shines he'll more likely be seen on his beautiful Pegoretti Luigino singlespeed. Any ride that takes him out to the Cross Keys Cafe in Epping gets Rogers seal of approval, but the best ride is always the one home at the end of the day.
Gill Ord - Co-owner (joined 1989).Gill has been riding all her life and for many years was a regular on the time-trial courses of the Eastern Counties as a member of the Easterly CC. Nowadays Gill keeps her hand in riding sportives and with weekend rides around the lanes of Essex, she has recently discovered a tough 30 mile urban circuit taking in Highgate, Hampstead and a few laps of Regents Park. Gill rides a custom built Independent Fabrication Factory Lightweight and a Brompton for getting around town.
Philip Burnett - Co-owner (joined 1989) . Phil has built up a stable of bikes over the years but now will mostly be seen on his Independent Fabrication Club Racer over the winter months and on his Pegoretti Marcelo when the sun comes out. An ex first category roadie, Phil has been racing for over 20 years and still likes to take in the tuesday evening criteriums at Crystal Palace as well as regular League of Veteran Racing Cyclist road races.Phil's favourite rides tend to involve hills, whether his local Surrey Hill route or the Alpine challenge of riding the Marmotte sportive.
Sarn Baggett- Mechanic (joined 2002). Sarn usually has a project on the go that involves retro-bikes parts and ebay but nothing will part him from his old-school Pegoretti Marcelo, although the Pegoretti Duende singlespeed he is currently awaiting might come close. Sarn's favourite ride is to the Arsenal on matchday and occasionally back home when they've won!
Greg Conti - Mechanic (joined 2010). Greg likes nothing more than to bash around Hog Hill circuit showing the youngsters how it's done, he's doing that on a Ridley Noah at the moment but has his eye on a Lynskey road frame. Greg's been smitten by the joys of cyclcoross racing this year and his faithful Blue Norcross has proved it's worth. Greg likes to ride anywhere flat with short sharp hils, the Tour of Flanders sportive being his favourite, which makes his decision to tackle the Marmotte sportive in 2012 seem rather puzzling!
Ed Woodhouse - Sales (joined 2011). Ed loves bigs ride in the Alps and makes a point of spending a couple of weeks in Bourg D'Oisans every summer to indulge his passion. When at home it has to be long rides in the Surrey Hills on a sunday morning. At the moment Ed's riding a custom built Seven Axiom road bike and a Ridgeback hybrid around town.
Wilf Meynell -Sales (joined 2009) Wilf's passion is restoring and maintaining old school mountain bikes. He has a Pace RC200FS in perfect 1995 spec and an updated 1998 Pace RC200F8, apparently this full-suspension lark will never catch on. When time allows Wilf heads off west to rides the trails of Afan, Skyline being his number one.
Conor Ruttledge - Sales (started 2009). Conor rides a Brompton around town, a titanium Van nicholas when the roads are grubby but it's his Pegoretti Responsorium which he loves to bring out when the sun is shining and he wants to ride with a smile on his face. A dawn ride through the City of London or his north london loop which he dubs 'Le Cinque Cols de North london' are his favourite rides
|Jordan Gibbons - Sales (started march 2012). Bike wise its all steel for Jordan. Eddy Merckx racing edition made with Columbus SL and a 531 Gazellle Cross Trophy.
The Merckx is comfortable and lightweight but more than anything it's a little bit special. It was the training bike made for a Belgian pro and although it doesn't quite fit me and it's not as good as it could be I'd never part with it for anything. The Gazelle was a bit of an impulse purchase after I did a cross race in November but it's become my every day bike. Jordans favourite ride is a 100k loop he does from Farnham out through the countryside to Box Hill and back, vastly improved when the sun is actually out!
