IF uses only the best US Aerospace grade titanium suppliers coupled with carbon fibre tubes made specifically for IF by ENVE Composites to give your new bike ideal ride characteristics for your body, weight, and riding style. IF miter each carbon tube to fit all of the way into the lug to maximize the glue overlap.

Independent have worked long and hard developing and refining the XS frameset to be as customizable as any other frame in the range. Every angle, every tube specification, every option is selected per bicycle. No two have been, nor will likely be, built the same. Load it up or strip it down; the Independent Fabrication Club Racer offers versatile performance. This frameset incorporates traditional road bike geometry coupled with all of the options for light touring. It is designed for long reach caliper brakes to accommodate mudguards and slightly larger tyres.

The Club Racer makes an excellent commuter bike, rainy day trainer, or light-touring rig. Its rider specific geometry is available in steel or titanium. An ultra-light steel road frame based on the race-proven Crown Jewel, the Factory Lightweight is the lightest steel frame they can build. An exercise in maxi-minimalism; the Factory Lightweight pushes the limits of modern steel. Every aspect of this frame has been dialed in to maximize its potential. It may be the lightest frameset we make, depending on the rider-specific tubeset and geometry. The tubing is so thin on this model that we purge the inside of the frame, through a series of drilled holes, to assure the highest quality welds. A blend of ultra-light Reynolds 853 ProTeam and True Temper S3 tubing that is built for a 27.2 mm seat post. Tubing is selected based on rider's weight and overall riding style or ideal handling.
