It shares the same Reynolds 725 frameset as the more expensive 10 and 20 models, but is combined with a chromo fork and sensible specced kit to offer fantastic value. Cyclocross is a strange discipline, you either love it, or you simply don’t understand it! Basically an hour of absolute hell, usually in the mud and the rain, where it’s simply unacceptable to give anything less than 110% for 60 long minutes.

Our race ready Vapours are put together from ALX-9 6069 triple butted tubes and come with an aluminium/carbon fork. 

Top-tube routed cables mean snag-free shouldering when it’s time to pick it up and run, rear rack and ‘guard eyelets give scope for wider use than a pure race bike. Whether a roamer, a racer or simply a commuter/escaper, the Vapour answers the call

Trail riding in the UK is tough on bikes. For some a cross-country ride can literally cross the country, for others it’s day in, day out use on wet, gritty trails. We demand bikes with something in reserve when the trial throws a dose of the unexpected at you; bikes that are light but tough, comfortable but capable. In all cases, the steel-framed Latitude range delivers.


Solid Shimano specifications mean reliability and serviceability is as good as it gets. The frames are CEN-rated Reynolds 520 Cr-Mo to ensure long-term durability for 100-130mm forks, even under the most demanding riding conditions. Our Latitude 00 and 10 mountain have both won group-tests and ‘bike of the year’ commendations in the mountain bike press , showing that the desirable ride feel of steel doesn’t always mean high prices. It also shows that mid-range bikes can have high-specification, future-proof and upgradeable frames - a long-term trail riding affair starts here.

Mian upgrades over the Latitude 00 are a Recon Gold TK 120mm fork with 15mm Thru Axle, SLX rear mech and SLX/Deore hubs.

During the 2010-’11 cyclocross race season disc brakes became UCI legal. So we went to the drawing and came up with a disc specific version of our Vapour frame.


This bike comes specced with the new Shimano CX50 cyclocross chainset as well as the best in the business Avid wire pull BB7 disc brakes. The Vapour’s ALX-9 6069 triple-butted frame and carbon/aluminium fork is perfectly race-ready and has bags of mud clearance room around the brakes.

The Vapour is light enough for sportives and the rear rack and guard eyelets means it’s the perfect weekend tourer also. Can you justify a cross bike? You can when a bike is this versatile.
